| 2B Finish: This is the least expensive finish and is suitable for almost all processes except finish processes involving food or pharmaceutical products. The stainless steel mixing tank inside welds will be ground down to remove peaks and sharp edges and discoloration will be removed. The outside welds will be touched up to remove sharp edges and any discoloration caused by welding. |
| #4 Finish: #4 finish means that the stainless steel mixing tank inside and "wetted" surfaces are polished to a #4 finish (Ra <32). All inside welds are blended smoothly into the surrounding material and buffed and finished to match. The stainless steel mixing tank outside welds will be touched up to remove sharp edges and bumps and any discoloration caused by welding. This is a more expensive finish and is suitable for all mixing tank processes except the most demanding pharmaceutical products. Higher level finishes can be provided and may be specified during the drawing approval phase. |
